4.2 AI Services

FanXI uses multiple AI providers to power bots, trivia, polls, moderation assistance, contest generation, predictions, debates, and related features. Depending on the feature, your messages and contest submissions may be processed by Google Gemini (Vertex AI), Anthropic Claude, and/or OpenAI GPT. AI output is generated automatically and may be inaccurate or incomplete.

4.3 Sports Data Providers

  • SportMonks API – Provides live sports match data and statistics
  • TheRundown API – Provides NFL and NCAA football match data

4.4 Website Services

We may use additional services for our website (e.g., analytics, hosting, email delivery). These providers have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them. We only share data necessary for these services to function.

4.5 Advertising Services

Google AdMob — We use Google AdMob to display banner, interstitial, and rewarded video advertisements in the FanXI app. AdMob may collect and use data such as your device's advertising identifier (Ad ID), IP address, and general location to serve and measure ads. Rewarded ads may grant virtual coins when you choose to watch them. You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings or through the consent preferences provided within the app.

5. Data Storage and Security

  • Your data is stored securely using industry-standard infrastructure (including Google Firebase where applicable).

  • Chat messages, contest entries, coin ledger records, and user content are stored in Cloud Firestore (for the FanXI app).
  • Analytics data may be exported to Google BigQuery for analysis.
  • We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services, and as required by law.

We do not sell your personal data. We may share your data only in the following circumstances:

  • With other users – Your username, display name, public profile information, chat messages, and contest submissions may be visible to other users in shared rooms and contests (FanXI app).
  • With service providers – We share data with third-party services (listed in Section 4) necessary to operate our website and app.

7. Your Rights and Choices

7.1 Access and Update

7.2 Data Deletion

  • FanXI app – You may delete your account and all associated data at any time by navigating to Settings > Delete Account within the app. Upon account deletion, we will remove your personal data, messages, and content from our systems.
  • Website / waitlist – You may contact us to request removal of your waitlist or contact data.

Note: Some data may be retained in backups or analytics databases for a limited period as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

7.3 Preferences

  • You can update your sports, league, team, and language preferences at any time through the Preferences screen in the FanXI app.
  • You can control your notification settings within the app.
  • You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in our emails or by contacting us.
